ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

Welcome to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú is the oldest diocese in England, stretching from Maidstone to Thanet, the Isle of Sheppey to the Romney Marsh. We have 350 miles of coastline with historic ports and seaside resorts, alongside rural communities, market towns and commuter-belt urban developments. Affluent areas often sit alongside pockets of major deprivation, offering an exciting and challenging mission context.

At the heart of all we do is a vision of transformation for ourselves and our communities: no one can encounter God and remain unchanged. In the Diocese of ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú, we want to increasingly become a Christian community transformed through encounter with Christ, growing and overflowing to transform and bless the families, homes and communities we serve: Changed Lives, Changing Lives.

ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú us in prayer for St Mary-in-Castro

Ministry Team: Peter Sherred, (Honorary Coordinating Chaplain)
Revd Bob Coles, Revd Kevin Jacobs, Revd Polly Mason, Revd Stephen Whaley
Churchwardens: Suze Jacobs, Mary Sherred

Brothers and sisters in Christ, we ask for your prayers for our Church and the diverse and faithful community who worship here. We are blessed to worship in this very unusual place, with its long military history. Help us to continue to welcome all who visit Dover Castle, its staff and the veterans who come to commemorate their comrades; demonstrating God's unconditional love to all who come through the doors of his house. We ask for God’s blessing on those who have been baptized and married at St Mary-in-Castro this year.
